Just make sure you get the slice of the action (in the battlefield) in order to complete the quest. Mostly, if the lord there is concerned with bandits around his lands, he will go out in the fields and chase them down with you.
My tip: if they are faster than you, lead them to a (friendly/neutral) castle. Apparently the lord there just got out (like I said, luck), leaving them head-on with me. I kept guiding them to a nearby castle while I'm on their silly asses. You cannot believe how I'm relying on my luck right now and wish that a lord will pass by, leading them back to my direction to lessen the ever-growing distance, making them an easy prey.Īnd apparently, the reward is worth it (1000 denars with 2000 xp, with 2 added reputation to the town you took the quest from). I've only done this type of quest a couple of times but the looters stayed sort of close to the town for both of them.
Yeah, I got them mixed up for a second then. Just like dealing with 'Troublesome bandits' would be another. The bandits that I am chasing is composed of (supposedly because their text is light blue) 4 Desert Bandits, and THEY ARE TOO DAMN FAST (a 6.3 speed to my 5.3). 'Track down the bandits' is an entirely different style of quest. My party size now is 53 and my speed is not that good.
